Microwave Tapioca Pudding – Grams

Grams made this for our kids every time they went to their house.  They loved it and… yeah, they expected it too.  Such a wonderful comfort food!Microwave Tapico Pudding

Microwave Caramel Corn

My mother-in-law is the one that really introduced me to making caramel corn but then in later years – she just insisted that I try the microwave method.  I just never liked it as much as the baking in the oven method.  You can give it a try and let me know what you think!Microwave Caramel Corn-Wanda

Lemon Bars

The best lemon bars ever!  You can tell I made these often by how bad the card looks but I just couldn’t bring myself to re-type it.  You will just have to look at the mess!

Fruit Dip – Donna

When we were young marrieds and living next to each other, we had open house every year and we made snacks and got to see each others homes dressed up for the holidays.  Donna made this dip and I loved it.  We had such a wonderful time in those days when our kids were little and we and several other friends all lived on the same street.  Those were the good ole days!Fruit Dip-Donna

Eagle Brand Cookie Bars-Bermah Congdon

I used to spend two weeks every summer in Dallas at my friend Vicki’s and her Mom would make these delicious bars and we would eat them on the road.  We were usually laying down in the back of their station wagon on what I thought was the longest trip from Oklahoma all the way to Dallas!  We had so much fun those hot summers.  I felt like part of the family.  I will never forget the time her and her sister talked me into piercing my ears (by the way – they did it for me by freezing my ear lobes with ice cubes and running a needle through my ears).  My Mother had said very clearly that I could not do this until I was 16 and… you guessed it – I was 15.  I was so afraid to go home that summer and face my Mother.  Seems like I always had a ride to Dallas but had to ride the train home every summer and Mother and Daddy would pick me up in Perry.  Well, that year, it was the worst ride ever but to my surprise, I really did not get in trouble and my Mother let me push some earrings through her ears that had not had any in for probably 15 years!  Surprise!Eagle Brand Cookie Bars
