Rice Pilaf

  • 2 cups Basmati Rice
  • 1 cup Vermicelli Pasta
  • 3 T olive oil
  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 2 t. Salt
  • 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds

Rinse the rice till water is clear and soak for 20 minutes then drain

Cook Pasta in olive oil then add drained rice and stir

then add 3 1/2 cups of water slowly then bring to a boil

then cover for 15 minute and it is ready to top with the almonds
